The Teaching and Learning with Technology Impact Award celebrates the accomplishments of faculty members whose work transforms education through the innovative use of technology. In addition, the award enhances the impact of teaching and learning with technology across Penn State by encouraging innovation and improves the quality of, access to, and scholarship of

teaching and learning with technology.

 

Your nomination highlights a longstanding dedication to transforming education through the use of technological pedagogy innovation, ultimately demonstrating that you have been a major ambassador for the field of digital writing. Your scholarly record in the field of rhetoric and composition is extensive, well-recognized, and infused throughout with evidence of teaching transformed by technology innovations. Additionally, your work has clearly had an impact not only on the educational experiences of students you teach, but on how your department as a whole has improved pedagogically. The Digital English Studio, and your commitment to it, has

been recognized as one of the foundational reasons that the English Department was able to effectively transition to a Covid learning model this past year.
